The following is obsoleted and left for reference only.
The latest version of GrWin is available
here.
GrWin Graphics Library is a free graphics routine library for Fortran and C/C++
available under many compiler systems on Windows Xp/2000/NT/Me/9x (x86) platforms.
Using this library you can enjoy free graphics programming on Windows even if you have no experience on Windows programming.
As a set of interactive drivers for the PGPLOT library on Windows is implemented using GrWin, you can use routines for high level graphics, such as graphs with hidden lines and contour diagrams, etc., in your application.
What's New on Nov 12, 2009:
A bug in the pgplot driver gwdriv.c of GrWin, by which binaries made using resent versions of
the Visual Studo do not work, was fixed.
Prebuilt binaries for MinGW and Intel Viusual Fortran are available for down load.
Users of other systems can make binary files themselves using
the latest GrWin toolkit.
The development of Ver. 0.99.99 is still :-) in a final stage, and
Development Snapshot is available here as a toolkit,
which enables you to make library files for GrWin and pgplot from source using your using compiler system.
Indivisual files in the toolkit can be accessed from here,
and you can check them out to know if each of your downloaded files is the newest.
News on Sep 18, 2007:
- Good news for TeXicians
The next release Ver. 0.99.99 of GrWin will supports the EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) as one of output file formats among others.
EPS files generated by GrWin can readily be included in TeX documents. The development of Ver. 0.99.99 is in a final stage, and
Development Snapshot is available here as a toolkit,
which enables you to make library files for GrWin and pgplot from source using your using compiler system.
Indivisual files in the toolkit can be accessed from here,
and you can check them out to know if each of your downloaded files is the newest.
Prebuild binaries for GrWin, pgplot and cpgplot libralies and executables of demos are abvailable now only for
- MinGW (gcc + g77),
- Cygwin (gcc + g77),
- Intel (icl + ifort for IA-32),
- Intel (icl + ifort for Intel 64 / EM64T).
Binary files for each compiler system can be rebuilt simply by a make command in a corresponding directory,
provided a patched pgplot directory is in the same level of the directories.
The msys environment with a gnu make is recommended to be used.
Solution/Project files for IDEs of VisualStudio 2003
and VisualStudio 2005 are
also availabble, but they only have partially been tested.
If you use Fortan, or if you make pgplot library files from source using those files for IDEs,
Intel Visual Fortran (ifort) shoud have been installed in your system.
Good luck!
Bug reports are very appreciated.
I however would make an apology in advance for not replying to every of your reports. Thanks.
